TAVAT Serviced Apartments is a family-run, fully furnished serviced apartment in West Mambalam, Chennai — a short walk from the T Nagar shopping district. We offer self-contained 1, 2, and 3-bedroom apartments with private kitchens, ideal for families visiting Chennai for medical treatment, wedding shopping, or extended stays. Each apartment has its own entrance, fully equipped kitchen, washing machine, and high-speed Wi-Fi.
Founded in 2019 and personally managed by the host Sathish, TAVAT has earned a 4.7-star rating across 110+ verified Google reviews. Guests consistently highlight the cleanliness, responsive service, and the convenience of cooking their own meals during long stays — particularly families accompanying patients at nearby hospitals like Apollo, SIMS, and Kauvery.
Who we host?
TAVAT is designed for families and small groups. Most of our guests fall into one of these categories:
Medical travellers and patient families — Families accompanying loved ones receiving treatment at Apollo Hospital (Main, Speciality, or Children’s), SIMS Hospital, SRM Hospital, Fortis Vadapalani, Kanchi Kamakoti Childs Trust Hospital, or Kauvery Hospital. Our fully equipped kitchens allow families to prepare meals suited to dietary restrictions during recovery. A pharmacy and clinic are located right next to our building.
Wedding and shopping visitors — Families visiting Chennai for wedding shopping at Ranganathan Street, Pothys, Saravana Stores, Chennai Silks, or the jewellery shops of T Nagar (Joy Alukkas, GRT, Prince Jewellery). Our apartments accommodate the whole family together, and the shopping district is walkable.
Relocation and extended stays — Professionals and families relocating to Chennai who need a comfortable base for a few weeks or months while they find permanent housing. Past guests have stayed anywhere from 5 nights to 6 months.
Visiting NRI families — Families visiting from abroad who prefer the privacy and kitchen facilities of an apartment over a hotel. We assist with Form C filing for FRRO compliance for foreign passport holders.

What to Expect
Every TAVAT apartment is entirely self-contained — you have a private entrance and will never share your space with other guests. Choose from 1-bedroom, 2-bedroom, or 3-bedroom layouts, each with its own kitchen. Our 2 and 3-bedroom units also include balconies.

How TAVAT compares to hotels?
Unlike conventional hotels in T Nagar, every TAVAT apartment is entirely self-contained — you have your own private entrance, kitchen, and living space. There’s no shared lobby, no buffet, and no reception desk. Think of it as renting a well-maintained flat with hotel-grade cleanliness and on-call support from our team.
This makes TAVAT particularly well-suited for stays longer than a few nights, where cooking your own meals and having space to spread out becomes essential — especially for families managing medical appointments or multiple days of wedding shopping.
Our rates are typically 30–50% lower than comparable hotel rooms in the T Nagar area, with the added benefit of a full kitchen, washing machine, and significantly more living space.
